WHAT IS MATCHA GREEN TEA?


Matcha is a traditional Japanese ceremonial tea created by milling specially grown, whole green tea leaves into a fine powder. Match contains powerful anti-oxidants that are thought to help maintain optimal health.



HOW TO PREPARE MATCHA

  1. 1.Place 1 tsp. of matcha powder in a cup or small bowl.

  2. 2.Add 2 tsp. of room temperature water and mix into a paste using a whisk.

  3. 3.Add 1/4 to 1/3 cup (according to your taste) of hot water (176º F), whisk again, and enjoy!

WHAT IS SENCHA GREEN TEA?


Sencha is the traditional, whole leaf green tea enjoyed daily in Japan.  It contains powerful antioxidants and amino acids that are thought to support your immune system while promoting a relaxed state of wellness.



HOW TO BREW LOOSE LEAF SENCHA GREEN TEA FOR ONE

  1. 1.Place 1 Tbsp. of loose leaf tea in a teapot.

  2. 2.Add 8 oz. of hot water to teapot.

  3. 3.Steep for 60 seconds.  Enjoy!


Water heated to 155º F will create a sweeter, milder taste while 185º water will yield crisper, more tannic flavors. A second brewing may be enjoyed.  The use of filtered or soft water is highly recommended.



HOW TO MAKE GREEN TEA WITH SENCHA SACHET


HOT TEA:


  1. 1.Place tea sachet in cup.

  2. 2.Add 6-8 oz. of hot water to cup.

  3. 3.Steep for 60-90 seconds.  Enjoy!


Water heated to 155º F will create a sweeter, milder taste while 185º water will yield crisper, more tannic flavors. A second brewing may be enjoyed.  The use of filtered or soft water is highly recommended.



ICED TEA:


  1. 1.In a glass pitcher, place one tea bag per each 8 oz cold water serving.

  2. 2.Let tea bags and water site (refrigerated or at room temperature) for 1 to 4 hours.

  3. 3.Remove tea bag(s) and enjoy!
